Introduction of Mandatory ETIAS Permit for Travels to Europe
Starting mid-2025, every Canadian traveler planning to visit Europe will be required to possess an ETIAS permit. This is the European Travel Information and Authorization System, implemented by the European Union.

Please note that this permit costs 7 euros per person, and the process can take up to 30 days for approval.
It is also mandatory to have a passport that remains valid for at least 3 months after your departure date from Europe. Without this, entry at the European border will be denied.
Itinerary:
Arrival in Rome. Check-in at your hotel. Start your tour with a stroll through Rome’s historic center. Explore the Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain. End the day with delicious Italian cuisine in one of the city’s many restaurants.
Spend the day visiting the Vatican. Explore St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museums, where you can admire the Sistine Chapel and other artistic treasures. We advise you to buy your tickets in advance.
Explore the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Immerse yourself in Rome’s ancient history by visiting its iconic sites. You can also visit Mount Palatine and the Domus Aurea, Nero’s residence.
Discover Rome’s countryside. Located just 30 km from the city center, you’ll discover the history of the Romans who headed to Tivoli to cool off from the heat. In the afternoon, visit the Basilica of St. John Lateran (one of Rome’s 4 basilicas).
Explore the Trastevere district, known for its picturesque alleyways, ancient churches and lively atmosphere. Stroll its narrow streets, discover its charming squares and stop to sample Roman specialties in one of the many restaurants.
Visit Rome’s museums and art galleries. The Museo Nazionale Romano, the Galleria Borghese and the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna are all well worth a visit. You can also stroll through the Via Margutta district, famous for its art galleries and craft stores.
Explore the Testaccio and Aventine districts. Visit Rome’s Protestant cemetery, the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls and Mount Aventino, from where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city. Enjoy your last evening in Rome with local dishes in a typical restaurant.
