Introduction of Mandatory ETIAS Permit for Travels to Europe
Starting mid-2025, every Canadian traveler planning to visit Europe will be required to possess an ETIAS permit. This is the European Travel Information and Authorization System, implemented by the European Union.

Please note that this permit costs 7 euros per person, and the process can take up to 30 days for approval.
It is also mandatory to have a passport that remains valid for at least 3 months after your departure date from Europe. Without this, entry at the European border will be denied.

Motorized excursion to Sintra (known for its multiple monuments of romantic architecture dating from the 19th century, which earned it its classification as a UNESCO World Heritage Site).

10:30-11:30 am: Arrival in Nazaré for an hour guided walking tour including headphones to explore this famous fishing village and its gigantic waves (this is where experienced surfer Garrett McNamara set the world record for the highest wave surfed (100 feet, 30.48 m))
12h: Departure to Alcobaça (located in the valley of the rivers Alcoa and Baça, which, according to some authors, would be the origin of its name. It has also been argued that it is in fact the Arabic name of the place that was separated and gave its name to the two rivers).
12:30 pm: Arrival in Alcobaça for a 1.5 hour guided walking tour including headphones to explore the area.
- Alcobaça Cathedral (UNESCO World Heritage) which includes the prized Kings Tomb & monks Bakery

15h00: Departure to Coimbra (a riverside city in the centre of Portugal and the former capital of the country. It contains a preserved medieval city and the historic University of Coimbra).
