Introduction of Mandatory ETIAS Permit for Travels to Europe
Starting mid-2025, every Canadian traveler planning to visit Europe will be required to possess an ETIAS permit. This is the European Travel Information and Authorization System, implemented by the European Union.

Please note that this permit costs 7 euros per person, and the process can take up to 30 days for approval.
It is also mandatory to have a passport that remains valid for at least 3 months after your departure date from Europe. Without this, entry at the European border will be denied.

- Arrival at Lisbon airport. Private transfer to the Algarve.
- Arrival in the Algarve for dinner in Guia, where you can taste the famous traditional piri-piri chicken (full dinner including beer and wine).
- Departure to Vilamoura marina after dinner.
- Group check-in at the hotel in Vilamoura in the Algarve.
- Free time and dinner at your own expense.

- Private transfer to the Albufeira marina for a full-day cruise in the Algarve (weather dependent). We will sail to the most beautiful spots on the Algarve coast to admire the rock formations and the magnificent white sandy beaches. We will head towards the Atlantic, Castelo, and Praia de Galé. We will pass by the fishing village of Armação de Pêra, then the stone chapel of Senhora de Rocha to reach the beaches of Marinha and Benagil.
- We will anchor near a secluded beach. Free time for swimming (bring your swimsuit!).
- BBQ on the beach for lunch (beer and wine included) and return.
- 4:15 PM: Departure from the Albufeira marina and return to the hotel in Vilamoura. Free time and dinner at your leisure ($).

- Crossing the Arrábida Natural Park (beautiful mountains and blue waters facing Troia). Stop for photos.
- Arrival at Azeitão for a visit to the Bacalhôa museum and vineyard with wine tasting. Explore the Bacalhôa museum and come to appreciate the unique pieces! Take this opportunity to taste the wines of the Setúbal Peninsula.
- Departure to Cristo Rei, a sanctuary, and a religious monument representing the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
- Arrival at the Cristo Rei statue for a photo stop.
- 5 PM – 6 PM: Departure to Lisbon. Crossing the 25 April Bridge, the first suspension bridge over the Tagus in Lisbon, often compared to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

- Private guided tour of Pena Palace lasting one and a half hours (The palace is considered the finest example of 19th-century Romanticism and sits atop a hill above Sintra. It is often visible from Lisbon).
- 4:00 PM: Departure for Caldas da Rainha.
- 5:30 PM: Group check-in at the hotel in Caldas da Rainha.

- Embark on a full-day excursion to the Douro Valley, the first demarcated wine region in the world, whose landscape is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This charming region awaits you with its unique scenery.
- Departure from your hotel in Porto at 8:30 AM. You will head through the Douro Valley, one of the most enchanting routes in Portugal. This picturesque region offers spectacular views of the terraces and vineyard slopes, leading down to the Douro River. You will head towards Pinhão to start a wonderful shared one-hour cruise on a fantastic stretch of the Douro River aboard a Rabelo boat!
- Next, continue your excursion with a guided tour of a winery among the most renowned wine producers of the Douro, such as Quinta do Seixo or an equivalent. Take this opportunity to learn more about local winemaking and taste various wines during a traditional dinner featuring regional specialties.
- Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.

- Paço dos Duques (The Palace of the Dukes of Braganza, is a medieval residence and former home of the first Dukes of Braganza – tickets included) Short photo stop for the group in front of the kings’ statue, where Portugal was born!
