Introduction of Mandatory ETIAS Permit for Travels to Europe
Starting mid-2025, every Canadian traveler planning to visit Europe will be required to possess an ETIAS permit. This is the European Travel Information and Authorization System, implemented by the European Union.

Please note that this permit costs 7 euros per person, and the process can take up to 30 days for approval.
It is also mandatory to have a passport that remains valid for at least 3 months after your departure date from Europe. Without this, entry at the European border will be denied.
Itinerary:
Upon arriving in Nice, pick up your rental vehicle and take the coastal road to admire the Mediterranean landscapes. Settle into your hotel, then head out on foot to explore the city and discover Castle Hill with its breathtaking views.
Visit the Matisse Museum to immerse yourself in the artist’s universe, then take a walk in the Jardin des Arènes de Cimiez, surrounded by the remains of a Roman amphitheater. Picnic in the peaceful Monastery Gardens of Cimiez. In the afternoon, participate in a workshop at Molinard to discover the art of perfumery, then end with a guided tour of the Nice Côte d’Azur Opera, organized by the Heritage Center.

Today, enjoy a moment of relaxation on a private or public beach: rent a sunbed or try out water activities. In the afternoon, explore the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MAMAC) to admire fascinating works. Alternatively, embark on a boat trip to Cannes.

Start the morning by strolling through the Cours Saleya market, famous for its colorful stalls of flowers, fruits, vegetables, and local specialties. Start the day with a peaceful walk on the beach at sunrise, followed by a coffee to savor your last moments in Nice. Then, check out of your room, return your rental vehicle, and head to the airport for your return flight to Montreal.
