Introduction of Mandatory ETIAS Permit for Travels to Europe
Starting mid-2025, every Canadian traveler planning to visit Europe will be required to possess an ETIAS permit. This is the European Travel Information and Authorization System, implemented by the European Union.

Please note that this permit costs 7 euros per person, and the process can take up to 30 days for approval.
It is also mandatory to have a passport that remains valid for at least 3 months after your departure date from Europe. Without this, entry at the European border will be denied.
Itinerary:
Upon your arrival in Naples, take the direct train to Sorrento, a journey offering magnificent views of the sea, verdant hills, and picturesque villages.
Once you arrive in Sorrento, settle into your hotel before venturing out to explore the historic center. Stroll through its charming streets and enjoy the spectacular views of the sea.
Visit the Piazza Tasso, the Basilica of Sant’Antonino, and the magnificent gardens of the Villa Comunale, where you can admire breathtaking panoramas.
In the morning, take a ferry from Sorrento to Capri, a crossing of about 20 to 30 minutes. Upon arrival, you can visit the Blue Grotto or explore the picturesque village of Anacapri.
Choose a restaurant with a sea view and enjoy local specialties.
In the afternoon, go up to Mount Solaro for a panoramic view of the island, then stroll through the elegant streets of Capri and visit the Gardens of Augustus, which offer a magnificent view of the famous Faraglioni rocks.
Optional ($): Book an excursion with Capri Blue Grotto Boat Tour.
At the end of the day, take the ferry back to Sorrento.
Opt for a bus, boat, or minivan tour to discover the coast from a different perspective and enjoy the panoramic views. For a more enriching experience, you can book guided tours from Sorrento. These tours allow you to explore the main towns along the coast, often including stops at scenic viewpoints and historical explanations.

Return to your hotel in Sorrento for a final overnight stay.
Departure from the hotel towards Pompeii. Explore this vast Roman city, remarkably preserved under the volcanic ashes of Vesuvius. Visit iconic sites such as the House of the Vettii, the Pompeii Theater, and the Forum. Then, continue your journey to Herculaneum, an exceptionally well-preserved site, where you can admire wooden buildings, frescoes, and organic objects, preserved by the heat of the lava.
Continue your adventure to the crater of Vesuvius. Explore this spectacular site, witness to the devastating eruption of 79 AD, which buried Pompeii and Herculaneum. Dive into the fascinating history of this event while enjoying the breathtaking panoramic views of the Bay of Naples and its surroundings.

Arrival in Naples in the late afternoon for hotel check-in, then enjoy the evening to explore the neighborhood.
Explore the historic center of Naples, a UNESCO World Heritage site, by strolling through its narrow and lively streets. Savor an authentic Neapolitan pizza at one of the local restaurants. Visit iconic sites like the San Lorenzo Maggiore church and Spaccanapoli, the main street lined with shops, cafes, and small churches. In the evening, take a walk on Via Toledo, bustling with stores, or enjoy a drink at the Piazza del Plebiscito, the city’s main square.
Optionally (at an additional cost), join a food tour of the streets of Naples.
Visit the Palazzo Reale, with its royal apartments, gardens, and view of the Gulf of Naples. Then stroll around the Piazza del Plebiscito to admire the facade of the palace and the surroundings.
Explore the Castel dell’Ovo, the oldest castle in Naples, offering a splendid view of the sea. Then, discover the Castel Nuovo (Maschio Angioino), a medieval castle located in the heart of the city.
Stroll through the lively Chiaia district and enjoy dinner in one of its restaurants.
Visit the Certosa di San Martino on the Vomero hill, offering a panoramic view of Naples.
