History and nature

South Africa is a country that is steeped in history: British, Dutch and Indian influences are around every corner. This is also where you can retrace Nelson Mandela’s footsteps and truly understand the history of apartheid as well as this legendary advocate’s fight for freedom and equality.

The country’s beautiful landscape is also a major attraction. The steep cliffs of the Cape Peninsula overlooking the Ocean, the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, which features the largest diversity of flora in the world, the wine route and its seemingly endless vineyards stretching throughout the valleys, Blyde River Canyon, one of the biggest in the world and, of course, the famous photo safaris where you’ll get a chance to capture some cool pics of the Big Five—elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, lions and leopards!
