GOLFING IN THE GULF
By Claudine Hébert, Golf and Business Journalist
“You’ll want to head to The Links at Crowbush Cove, which ranks among of the 20 most beautiful courses in the country.”
For a golfing vacation in Canada replete with gorgeous red sand and a bounty of fresh seafood, Prince Edward Island is the perfect choice. There’s no better excuse to visit the tiniest of Canadian provinces, and the inspiration for Anne of Green Gables. Of course, many of the courses on the Island will remind you of those you play at home. The Dundarave Golf Course, with its intimidating bunkers, is reminiscent of Mont-Tremblant’s Le Maître and Le Diable while the neighbouring Brudenell River Golf Course, dotted with ponds and mature trees, calls to mind the Lachute Golf Club. For a total change of pace, you’ll want to head to The Links at Crowbush Cove, which ranks among of the 20 most beautiful courses in the country. This splendid emerald jewel abounds with fescue, sand, salt-water ponds, wooden bridges and, most importantly, spectacular views of the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
