Contest ”Win a ski trip for two to Fernie!”

ELIGIBILITY

To participate and be eligible to win, participants must reside in Canada and be over 18 years of age. Must not be an employee, a member of an employee’s immediate family or live with an employee of Voyages Gendron, Kombi, Fernie Alpine Resort, Tourism Fernie,Resorts of the Canadian Rockies and Tunnel49. No purchase necessary. Contest begins October 14, 2024 and ends November 3, 2024 (11:59 p.m. Eastern Time). The draw will take place on November 6, 2024 at 9 a.m. Eastern time at Voyages Gendron offices. The winner will have 7 days to accept his or her prize, after which a new draw will be held to select another winner.

REGISTRATION

To register, participants must complete the contest form at https://www.voyagesgendron.com/en/ski/contest/win-a-ski-trip-for-two-to-fernie/, read the procedures, enter their information and follow all steps until confirmation. By submitting an entry, participants irrevocably accept that their information will be transferred to Voyages Gendron. Entries are limited to one per person. Additional registrations will be disqualified. An individual may not use more than one e-mail address to register for the contest.

PRIZE

The winner will receive a trip for two (2) to Fernie, with a total value of $7,500 CDN.

• seven (7) nights’ accommodation in double occupancy at Lizard Creek Lodge;
• two (2) round-trip economy-class airline tickets with Air Canada;
• five (5) days of skiing at Fernie Alpine Ski Resort;
• airport transfers;
• $ 150 Tourism Fernie gift certificate valid at participating restaurants;
• Kombi gift certificate valued at $1,000;
• taxes.

The trip price does not include, among others :

• meals ;
• travel, health and/or cancellation insurance;
• ski equipment rental;
• excursions and other sporting activities not included;
• airport parking.

The winner must comply with the following conditions of use:

GENERAL CONDITIONS AND ELIGIBILITY

• The contest is open to Canada residents aged 18 and over. Winners waive any recourse if the services offered are not entirely satisfactory. Total retail value of prizes is $7,500 CDN. The winner will be selected at random from among all persons who have registered for the contest on our Web site. The draw will be made electronically, by extracting the list of e-mails that have been registered for the contest.
• Employees, representatives and/or agents (and/or those residing at the same address as such an employee, representative or agent, whether related or not) of Voyages Gendron, Kombi, Fernie Alpine Resort, Tourism Fernie, Resorts of the Canadian Rockies and Tunnel49 are not eligible.
• Voyages Gendron reserves the right to modify or terminate the contest at any time, without prior notice.
• By participating in the contest, each participant authorizes Voyages Gendron to use, for advertising and promotional purposes, his or her name, city of residence, address and telephone number, without any form of compensation and for an indefinite period of time, in the event that he or she wins a prize, if required.
• Photos and images used in advertising or promotional material (including, but not limited to, print advertising, electronic advertising and web banner ads) are provided for informational purposes only.

CONDITIONS OF USE

The winner and his/her guest accept and agree to comply with the following conditions of use:

• Travel dates are subject to flight and accommodation availability. Reservations will be accepted on the basis of availability dedicated exclusively to winners (and not on the basis of regular sales availability). They cannot be combined with any other promotion.
• All reservations and travel arrangements must be made with Voyages Gendron by the winner, without exception.
• Winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary, on the same dates, on the same flight, from the same originating airport to the same destination.
• All costs and expenses other than those mentioned above will be borne by the winner and his/her guest, including, without limitation, transportation between the place of residence and the airport, activities at destination not included, meals and beverages not included, travel expenses, telephone calls, mobile telephone and data roaming charges, expenses of a personal nature and gratuities.
• The room category cannot be changed under any circumstances.
• The winner and his/her guest must have reached the age of majority in their province of residence to take advantage of the trip.
• The prize must be accepted as described in these rules and cannot, under any circumstances, be transferred in whole or in part to another person, substituted for another prize or exchanged for cash. If a portion of the prize is not used, in whole or in part, no monetary compensation will be awarded.
• Under no circumstances may the travel prize be used after its expiry date of March 15, 2025.
• This offer cannot be extended. In the event of cancellation for any reason, the trip cannot be postponed.
• In the event the winner refuses the travel prize, the latter cannot be converted into cash and will be considered cancelled.
• The travel prize is specific to the trip mentioned and cannot be exchanged for a trip to another destination or on another date.
• Airport transfers are available from Wednesday to Sunday for the Calgary-Fernie round-trip service.
• The $1,000 Tourism Fernie gift certificate is valid at any of the restaurants listed on their website at https://tourismfernie.com/dining.
• It is the responsibility of the winner and his/her guest to know the conditions of entry, transit and exit of the destination visited and to obtain the necessary travel documents for entry, transit and exit of the destination concerned including, without limitation, any travel visa that may be required by the destination country and any vaccination passport if it becomes mandatory to take advantage of all the services included in the travel prize, and to ensure their validity for the entire duration of the trip. Without limiting the generality of the other provisions of these rules, no monetary compensation will be awarded in the event that the trip is prevented due to the failure of the winner and/or his/her guest to comply with the formalities applicable in Canada or in the destination country at the time of travel.
• Winner and guest are solely responsible for obtaining, at their own expense, personal, medical and travel insurance prior to departure, including, without limitation, medical coverage at destination.
• Except as provided in these rules and regulations, Voyages Gendron makes no warranty, express or implied, statutory or otherwise, with respect to the travel prize. In accordance with the conditions set forth and without limiting their scope, Voyages Gendron is not responsible in the event that the use of the travel prize is impossible due to an event of force majeure, including, without limitation, a pandemic.
• Voyages Gendron is not responsible for any event that could prevent or delay the trip and/or have an effect on accommodation reservations or any activities booked by the winner and his/her guest at destination.
• Winners waive any recourse if the services offered are not entirely satisfactory.

PRIZE CLAIM

The winner will be put in contact with Voyages Gendron to reserve his or her trip. Winner and guest must consent to receive communications from Voyages Gendron for booking and travel purposes. The winner will be selected by random draw using an automated system. The winner’s name will be posted on the contest page. The winner will also be contacted by e-mail and asked to submit proof of Canadian residency. The winner must respond to the e-mail within 7 days of it being sent. If the winner does not respond within this period, he or she automatically forfeits the prize, in which case it will be awarded to another person. The draw will take place on November 6, 2024 at 9 a.m. at Voyages Gendron’s offices at 1465 boul. Mgr-Langlois, Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

By accepting a prize, each winner and each guest of the winner, if applicable, releases the Beneficiaries from any and all liability, obligation, claim, action, damage, demand, cause of action, suit, debt, duty, account, bond, agreement, guarantee, indemnity, fine, legal fees, contract or responsibility of any kind whatsoever arising out of or in connection with the acceptance and/or use of the prize, including, without limitation, any injury, illness, death or damage to or loss of property. Each winner and each guest of the winner, if any, acknowledges that upon award of the prize, the obligations associated with the prize become the responsibility of the suppliers of the services and products comprising the prize, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
