Great Activities and Friendly Staff, But Health and Hygiene Concerns Need Urgent Attention
Our stay at the resort had both highlights and significant drawbacks. Here’s a breakdown of our experience. *Pros:* - *Friendly Staff:* True to Club Med’s reputation, the staff were warm, attentive, and ensured guests felt welcomed. - *Activities:* A fantastic array of activities was available, including snorkeling, which we thoroughly enjoyed, albeit it being a short one. - *Convenient Transport:* The airport transfer was seamless, making arrival and departure hassle-free. *Cons:* - *Snorkeling Logistics:* While the snorkeling itself was beautiful, the travel to and from the site was challenging. The journey took up to 1.5hr one-way in an older bus and then a boat, for only about 30 minutes of actual snorkeling time. - *Health Concerns:* Unfortunately, nearly half of our group developed gastroenteritis, resulting in significant medical expenses and inconveniences. After returning home, we noticed recent reviews from other guests reporting similar experiences, so it appears this may be an ongoing issue. Though we were cautioned about the seawater’s hygiene, only a third of those affected had even been to the beach, with the others staying within the resort. Our meals were also exclusively on-site, raising concerns about the resort’s hygiene standards. - *Customer Service Response:* When we raised these issues with Club Med after returning, the response was disappointingly indifferent. We were hoping for more consideration, especially since this wasn’t an isolated case. In summary, while the resort has a lot to offer, we would strongly advise the management to take a serious look at their health and hygiene protocols. If not addressed, this could continue to affect the experience for future guests. For now, we’re hesitant to return or recommend the resort without knowing these issues have been resolved.

We absolutely loved our stay. We were in one of the deluxe rennovated rooms. Everything was top notch - comfy bed & linen, good aircon, USB plugs etc. Food was delicious- great french cheeses, good French house wines, vast variety of cuisines, and as for the deserts... there must be a world class pastry chef behind it! Location is across from the sheltered Kata Beach. So many activities to choose from. Snorkeling trip included in options. A week of pure relaxation... we didn't even have to think - it was all taken care of by the Club Med staff.

We came to celebrate our 40 years anniversary and took a gamble on a very long travel (more than 36 hours). What an excellent gamble it turned to be. From the 4 locations of club med we visited so far - this was the best by far! The facility is based on the beach shore in Phuket and it is so green that you feel like you are in the jungle. The staff is so nice and smiley and do everything to make you feel at home. The room we took (basic one) was great with all that we needed. It was clean and comfortable. The food was the best we had. Not sure how they manage to produce so many great food in different styles. The Chuba reataurant (Abu, Tonkey and the team) was great place to have romantic dinner. The Zen pool provided a peaceful place with ocean view. The daily activities are giving you endless ways to spend the time. Max and Ali (chief of village and his deputy) are dynamic and lead an amazing staff! Will come back again!

Amazing week at Club Med Phuket
I spent the past week in club med Phuket and it’s safe to say that it was the best week of my life! The village itself was great and the many activities every day kept me working up a sweat. The rooms were nicely renovated and had everything you need. The buffet was good, especially the Indian food. The spa and massages were so good too, and had a jacuzzi and steam room that you could use before your massage. The shows that the GOs put on every night, followed by partying, was so so fun and I really enjoyed myself every second of the week. My stay was really made 100 times better by the lovely team of GOs at club med Phuket. The Handsome, Ever-charming Tanjung for his energy, jokes, dancing and good conversations, Ari for his calm and gentle yoga in the morning and his crazy energy at the pool and at night when he put on amazing performances and danced with us, and Ayoub for his jokes and fun personality and always talking to me and my sister when he spotted us around the village. All of them checked in with us constantly and made sure we were always having a good time ((which we definitely did because of them!!!)). Zen was also a patient and a good teacher at Archery and made it more enjoyable with his jokes, and his dancing at night also made it so fun!! Linda was also a good teacher and really patient with us during tennis under the scorching hot sun, she is also very friendly and easy to talk to. Tendayi was also very fun to talk to and I was always happy to see him around. Got to speak to a lot of the GOs since they were all so friendly and easy to talk to!! Thank you to Meen, Film, Gede, Win, Cream, Kookai for always dancing with us, speaking to us and having fun with us!! Max and Ali also often spoke to us to check in on how we were and what we did during the day, they were really amazing and had such a good energy to be around. Will miss everyone I’ve met and really hope to be back again!!
