Otaru canal cruise tour

A car will take GM from resort then first stop at Nikka Whisky, one of Japan's top whisky makers, with its main distillery in Yoichi. Nikka whiskies have been recognized to rank among the world's best single malt whiskies and have won numerous awards.The Yoichi Distillery maintains many of its original stone buildings which visitors are welcome to view. A self-guided walking tour of the grounds takes about an hour and follows the whisky making process from start to finish. To be followed by Otaru Canal Cruise tour, which is a must-do activity for visitors to Otaru. Otaru, once a thriving gateway to Hokkaido, boasts a rich historical heritage from that era. During this leisurely 40-minute cruise down the Otaru Canal, our captains will each share their unique perspectives on this history. Afterwards, the driver will also wait for G.M. to have walk in Otaru for some shopping/walking, then take G.M. back to resort.
Tenguyama ropeway tour

To be followed by Tenguyama's ropeway, it offers panoramic views of Otaru, Tenguyama is a symbolic mountain standing above sea level in Otaru. From its summit, you can behold the city, the Sea of Japan, and a stunning night scene, often referred to as one of "Hokkaido's three major night views. The summit observation deck is listed as one star in "Michelin Green Guide” Japan. Afterwards, the driver will also wait for G.M. to have a walk in Otaru for some shopping/walking, then take G.M. back to resort.

Incredible for so many reasons…
We visited and stayed 8 nights in early January 2025. We stayed at Club Med Sahoro the prior year but decided to check out the new Kiroro resort. It was amazing in so many ways. The hotel feels brand new and is impressive with large guest rooms and all the ammenities you could need like a pool, onsen and natural hot springs. Dining area, bar and theatre were all conveniently located adjacent to one another and appropriately sized. The staff are incredible, from the resort manager, Merlin who was everywhere all the time offering a helping hand and Alan whose customer service was second to none. The ski shop run by Romane and her well resourced team ensured equipment fitting was quick and painless. It was amazing in so many ways. The mountian terrain and snow fall is unbelievable. Best snow fall I’ve seen… ever!! Highly recommended.

The hotel itself is a gem. Nice family resort. "I wanted to express my sincere gratitude to Tom, our ski instructor during our week at Club Med Kiroro Peak at club 6. From the very beginning, Tom was incredibly adaptable and responsive to our needs and skill levels. He quickly assessed our abilities and tailored his instruction perfectly. He was patient and encouraging, making learning fun and enjoyable for everyone in our group. Tom's positive attitude and enthusiasm were truly contagious. He made us feel comfortable and confident on the slopes, pushing us to try new things while always ensuring our safety. Thanks to Tom's expert guidance and his ability to make learning fun, we all significantly improved our skiing skills during the week. He was a game-changer for our experience at Kiroro Peak! Tom always went the extra mile to make sure we were having fun. He is a true asset to the team

Jan Ski Trip with Family
Great resort, ski in ski out. All inclusive and no end of amazing foods from western and Japanese options. Good selection of included drinks inc French Champagne now this is a premium club med. lovely guests all around and everyone chats to everyone. Like a very large ski lodge. Plenty of slopes for all levels of ski skills. Good option.

AWESOMENESS DEFINED!!!
Club Med Kiroro Peak was one of the best holidays my family and I have ever had. The resort was very nice and everything was conveniently located in one central location. All you had to do to get to the ski slopes is walk 15m from the hotel and you were at the bottom of the ski lifts. 5 star meals were prepared on a daily basis and included in the price of the stay. Staff at the resort were also brilliant and took special effort to keep all guests entertained and happy. Special shout outs to Ms. Yukari (Ski Instructor) and Mr. Kadek (Head of Housekeeping) for paying attention to me and my family throughout our stay there!!! Thank you all so much..... hope to see all of you again soon!!!!
