Vail
At the top of my bucket list
For ski enthusiasts who also love travelling, there are certain destinations that just naturally sit at the top of the list, whether because of their extraordinary reputations or because they just have so much to offer! Either way, these are precisely the destinations that merit a spot on any seasoned skier’s bucket list.
When I started working as a group leader for Gendronski, I had a few fetish destinations, one of which happened to be Vail. After all, Vail had been voted the best ski area in the U.S. on countless occasions. So, what exactly is it that makes this resort so great, you ask? Well, first and foremost, Vail is a high-altitude resort. That means you’re pretty much guaranteed to enjoy tons of the best snow there is. And then, there’s the fact that Vail has some incredibly varied terrain. The mountain’s front side features mostly wide, impeccably groomed runs. Those who prefer vast, open spaces can head to the Sun, China and Siberia Bowls; there are 7 bowls in all to choose from on the back side of the mountain… and it’s pure heaven. If natural glades are more your thing, then make your way over to Blue Sky Basin.
