For skiers, the Chantarella funicular and the Marguns gondola run daily from 7:45 up St. Moritz’s local mountain, the Corviglia. Early birds can enjoy the unspoilt, freshly prepared slopes in the morning. Beyond the blue, red and black slopes, the western side of the Piz Nair offers adventure for all freeriders.
St. Moritz is the birthplace of winter tourism and Alpine sport, which came about over 150 years ago as the result of a bet. With a total of 87 World Cup standard slopes and pistes, St. Moritz is amongst the largest and most varied winter sports regions in the Alps.
Beginners, families with children, and seasoned skiers and snowboarders are all at home here. With the larger ski areas of Corviglia, Corvatsch/Furtschellas and Diavolezza/Lagalb are our three major and renowned ski areas. But the smallest are in no way inferior to them. Their charm has already seduced many skiers. It all depends on what you are looking for. We are confident that you will find the one that suits you.
The snowpark on Corviglia features a fun slope, an easy park for beginners, and blue and medium lines. Those who prefer to take it easy and enjoy the view can opt for the Paradiso slope, with a stop in one of the pleasant rest areas.
