SilverStar
Snow for everyone!
From the moment I first laid eyes on SilverStar Resort, it was clear that this place was like nothing I’d ever experienced before—a unique alpine village with the most colourful Western-style buildings that give the place a fun, joyful feel. And, as amazing as the surroundings are during the day, I was blown away by how astoundingly magical they become at night!
Located in the Okanagan Valley, SilverStar boasts great snow conditions all season long, even in late March when I was visiting: plentiful precipitation, light powder and mild weather that is perfect for preserving the snow and allowing you to ski comfortably.
After trying both sides of the mountain, I could easily see that the back side was the best choice for more experienced thrill-seeking skiers, thanks to its double diamond runs and epic glades. However, the mountain also gives intermediate and beginner skiers a chance to tackle some of that great vertical on a run that weaves through the entire mountain.
Come lunchtime, a well-deserved break at Paradise Camp is a great option. With its wood-burning stove, rustic look and comfort foods, this restaurant has a warm, friendly atmosphere you are sure to love.
