I had been hearing a rumour floating around for quite a few years about a place called Castle Mountain—a ski resort in Western Canada that I somehow knew nothing about. Now, you may no doubt be wondering where the heck this place is! Well, folks, this fabulous hidden gem can be found just south of Alberta… and it’s unquestionably a place worth discovering. Here’s how I would describe this amazing find: challenging terrain, steep runs, tons of snow, a reasonably priced cat-skiing outfit, a hotel, a restaurant, recreational vehicles in the parking lot and a super fun mountain.
This resort has the bare minimum but delivers the maximum when it comes to skiing. If you are planning a ski safari this season, you should absolutely add this destination to your itinerary. I guarantee you’ll fall in love with the place. I know I did!
