The greatest snow on earth!
Why do I love skiing in Utah so much? Quite simply because it features 10 major ski resorts whose summits range anywhere from 2,700 and 3,300 in altitude, average temperatures are between -5 and -7 degrees Celsius, the landscape is simply breathtaking, the average snowfall on the mountains is 10 metres or more per season and Utah snow has a density of up to 8.5%. It’s the perfect recipe for the very best ski conditions in the world! And it’s all just 45 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City.
Alta and Snowbird are my two favourite resorts, mainly for the quality of the snow and the variety of terrain. I could spend entire winters skiing there and never get tired of it!
Choosing accommodations in Salt Lake City also has many advantages: there is a wide variety of affordable restaurants and bars, and lots of great places to visit including City Hall, the Family History Library and Temple Square—the pride and joy of the Mormon community.
Those who love that ski village vibe are sure to love Park City Valley, most notably Deer Valley and Park City. //
