Ocean’s 4, formerly known as La Romana Golf Club, opened its doors in the fall of 2017. In just two years, this course has achieved remarkable maturity, ranking among the most stunning in the Caribbean.
Its primary appeal lies in a unique combination of lush vegetation, expansive lakes, proximity to the sea, and tropical forest, creating a majestic setting. True to its name, the number 4 is a recurring theme throughout the course, which features four distinct styles: Parkland, Scottish Links, Caribbean, and Desert.
The designer envisioned a unique experience where each style seamlessly integrates into its environment. Early on, players encounter holes 2, 3, and 4, surrounded by lakes and waterfalls, embodying the Parkland style. Further along, the four holes adjacent to the Caribbean Sea, along with holes 9 and 18, reflect the charm of traditional Links courses. The Desert style is showcased on holes 11, 14, and 15, with dramatic rock formations and abundant sand dominating the landscape.
