The ABCs of the perfect golfing destination

By Claude Gamache, General Manager and Golf Pro at Club de Golf de Drummondville

A – COUNTLESS DIRECT FLIGHTS
Every day, major airlines have multiple direct flights from large Canadian cities to Orlando. From Montreal, it’s a mere three hours. Add a little extra time to collect your luggage, golf bag and rental car, and maybe another hour or two, and you’ll be ready to drive the ball off your first tee. If you book an early morning flight from Montreal and an early evening flight back home, you can even get an extra round in on each of your travel days. That’s one sure way to make the most of your vacation!

B – WIDE RANGE OF COURSES AND ACCOMMODATIONS
It would take forever to tell you about the countless golf courses Orlando has to offer. But, you can rest assured that they are all of the absolute highest quality, and each one is unique in its own right. And, as an added bonus, they are all equipped with enormous practice facilities. A few of the best in terms of value for your money are the ChampionsGate Country Club, the Mission Inn Resort & Club, the Southern Dunes Golf Club and the Grand Cypress Golf Club. In addition to helping you choose the courses you want to play, Gendrongolf can also find accommodations that suit your particular needs and expectations. The Gendrongolf team can offer you a hotel room, condo, or even a private home. Our fully equipped condos are very popular, as are our private homes, which can accommodate anywhere from 4 to 12 people. The backyards of these homes generally include large eating areas with a barbecue and in-ground pool. This is usually the best option for a group of friends and can save you tons of money by allowing you to cook and entertain at home. Plus, you’ll have a safe place to park your rental car.

C – GREAT VALUE
Orlando is a fabulous place to explore and has so much for you to discover. Given the incredibly affordable price of Gendrongolf’s packages, you’ll be left with lots of extra spending money. And, there’s always something to see and do in Orlando. Of course, you can also explore some of the other major cities in Florida during your stay. After all, Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Tampa are just a short drive away. And, if the timing is right, why not take in a Lightning’s game? Or enjoy one of the many theme parks Orlando is renowned for—Disney World, Universal and Sea World, for example? In the evening, Downtown Disney, with its countless bars and restaurants, is a truly magical place to explore. Just remember to bring your designated driver along… you can always reward him with a few extra strokes on the course the next day.
