Iberostar Playa Paraiso Golf Club is a magnificent course designed by P.B. Dye, who has once again created a masterpiece in his signature style, with ample fairways, rolling hills and plenty of obstacles. This is a rather technical course that, although always impeccably maintained, can sometimes be made more difficult because of the wind. Challenges vary with every hole and with every day, which will definitely keep you on your toes! The hotel itself is very clean and both the service and the restaurants are good. Fun fact: this is where the 2013 season of the Big Break golf-based television series was taped.

What a great experience I had staying at this resort (which provides great value for the money, I might add)! Even though you’ll play the same course all week, it is so incredibly spectacular, you’ll always be left wanting more. The staff is courteous and attentive. I loved playing the Par-3 course that is available here. It is truly worth a round. The practice areas are excellent and the clubhouse is stunning. Chic and refined sums it up best.

WHAT THE PRO HAS TO SAY

Having played several Greg Norman signature courses, I can say that this one definitely lived up to my expectations. With wide and reasonably forgiving fairways, avoiding obstacles is a tad easier. That also means you can observe the resident reptiles—including Coco the alligator—from a distance. The picturesque scenery and beautiful natural vegetation help make your visit to this course a truly memorable experience. The hotel is equally magnificent and always provides an enjoyable stay.
