Fethiye / Kayakoy and Saklikent (1/2 day, morning)

Come and take a wander around the ghost village of Kayakoy, and discover the tumultuous history of the Greek Orthodox people who once lived in this part of Turkey. Your second stop will lead you to Saklikent Gorge, considered to be the second longest gorge in Europe. This unusual trip will take you up the canyon over a 2 km route, walking over walkways, so you can take in the absolute splendour of the rock faces soaring above you, formed by the streams of water... Closed hiking boots recommended.

Bus and walk The visit begins with the prehistoric site of Ggantija and the oldest monument in the world - its two temples, both 6 metres tall, that date back to 3,600 BC. You'll then go on to the capital, Victoria. Tasting of local produce in a tavern before taking the panoramic route to the hilltop village of Qala to admire the view across to Comino Island and the whole Maltese archipelago in the distance
