INTRODUCTION

The Dominican Republic, second largest island of the Caribbean, is also the first land of North America, Christopher Columbus having landed here. The country is extremely rich in history, offering numerous museums and colonial monuments, as well as theatres, hotels, nightclubs and restaurants, all reflecting the Dominican culture.

Charming and modern, with its Latin influences and exciting nightlife, the capital city, Santo Domingo, colonial heritage is present everywhere with its forts, palaces, cathedral, monastery, but tourist attractions also include the zoo, botanical garden and aquarium.

Boca Chica and Juan Dolio , both small tourist destinations in the immediate area of Santo Domingo, offer a choice of hotels, golf courses and beautiful beaches.
